About Shawn:
 Hello all, my name is Shawn Smoak. I’m an
good ol' Texas boy that currently resides in SW Washington State. Besides
photography, I have backgrounds in Business Management, Computers, Motorsports,
and Mechanical & Electrical Engineering. I last managed a multimillion dollar business in Texas with a work schedule that
consumed me for years. I moved my family to the North West to get to know my wife and kids (2-boys & 2-girls) once again, as they were being highly neglected by me due to my work. I had to rediscover myself also…
My current job
affords me the time & peace to concentrate on family, photography and my next move in life. The art of photography has entered back into my life with more love and dedication than ever!
FZR Photography and this site came about as a result...
My wife Kelly
also fell in love with the art of photography. With her
keen eye for details, she has been a great asset and, she has become quite a
photographer herself. I seldom go on a shoot without her.
About Photography: I’ve been involved with photography since
my grandfather gave me a "Kodak Retinette IA" 35mm Rangefinder at the age of 11.
Then became passionate about photography after taking my first photography classes in high school back in 1979.
My wife Kelly and I have experience shooting a variety of styles including event, portraiture, product, landscape, nature and sports photography. We are available for hire within the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
We shoot digitally, so we are completely mobile and can shoot on location with immediate
DVD and print output. For those that prefer film, we are also fully setup with professional
film equipment.
